Blue Cheese Wedge Salad…yum

I have a few standard “Go To” favorites that never fail me. Whenever I make my homemade Chicken Soup, this salad is right by its side. The two are perfect together. Yin and Yang.

Blue Cheese Wedge Salad...yum

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 5 minutes for the bacon

Just a mouthful of yum. I usually always have the ingredients in my fridge and it's so easy to make. It's always a hit in my house.


  • SALAD:
  • 1 head Iceberg Lettuce
  • 20 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 4 Crispy Bacon Strips or Ready made Real Bacon Bits
  • Garlic Croutons (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Blue Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Vegenaise)
  • 1/4 cup Buttermilk OR 1/2 & 1/2 OR Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup crumbled Blue Cheese
  • Dash Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper to taste



1. Combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream and Worcestershire in a bowl, mixing well.


2. Add in 1/4 cup blue cheese.


3. Salt and Pepper to taste.


4. Wash and core lettuce.


5. Cut into quarters.


6. Pour dressing over each wedge.


7. Sprinkle bacon and dividing 1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese to top the dressing on wedges


8. 1/2 each cherry tomato and top each wedge with a handful ...saving several to garnish plates.


9. Sprinkle garlic croutons (optional)
